Today we had our fun market day. Room 5's stall was 'Loom Band Crazy'.
We set up the Loom Band stall
We designed posters to advertise our products
We designed advertisements for our stall
Our stall was very popular! We were busy selling for the whole afternoon. We took turns to work on the stall and we had some free time to visit all the other stalls and spend our money.
These are the charms we had made. They sold out real quick!

We had made some beautiful bracelets and rings
We set up the stall
Mackenzie bought a lovely bag
Lucy and her sister had a go on the pillow fight stall. Lucy won!

Inquiry Unit

We are ready to start putting our work together for the 'Presentation of Learning' open afternoon, coming soon.

To help with this, could you please talk to your child about their artist study and ask them how they want to present it.
In class we have talked about using display boards to present our work. This could be a big piece of cardboard which they have painted as a background, or it could be a bought display board.

We will be writing our information reports in the next week.

Please look at the 'INQUIRY UNIT' tab to see the assessment rubric.

Te Puru Soccer Tournament

On Friday 27 June the Pohutukawa Team sent 32 students to a soccer tournament with Beachlands School and Maraetai School.

Poised for the whistle to start the game

Clevedon have the ball
We were very proud of the students who represented our school. They were enthusiastic and determined, but also showed good sportsmanship and respect. A big 'thank you' to all the parents who came along to support, these events would be impossible without your help.
